Our Story

Lake Antler Works was born from both place and passion. Founder and craftsman Joe grew up in Wyoming, where wide-open landscapes and towering peaks shaped his love of the outdoors. After moving to Minnesota, with fewer mountains to explore, he found himself drawn to a new pursuit: working with antlers he had collected over the years.

What began as a simple desk project quickly grew into something more. As he built additional pieces, Joe realized this was more than woodworking—it was art. The natural beauty of shed antlers, combined with live-edge wood, offered endless possibilities for creating furniture that was as functional as it was artistic.

Every piece of authentic antler furniture we create tells a story: about the natural materials, about the home it’s built for, and about the artistry that shaped it. Lake Antler Works is more than a workshop; it’s where nature, craft, and personal vision converge.

We turned around with the intention of asking more questions and sizing a particular coffee table up Within moments of returning with the help of Joe and his wife Laurel we measured and sized up a walnut live edge coffee table.
